The Rapidan Wildlife Management Area covers 10,326 acres across eight tracts on the east slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Madison and Greene Counties. It features mature mixed hardwood forests, rugged mountains, and deep valleys with streams like the Rapidan, Conway, and South Rivers. The area offers various recreational opportunities, including hunting, trapping, primitive camping, trout fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and birding.
